Duo to stand trial for Samuel’s murder

Redemption Sharpes residents Che Bute and Azari Ash were on Wednesday, October 20, committed to stand trial in the High Court for the 2007 murder of Lloyd “Lazo” Samuel.{{more}}

Bute, 26, and Ash, 21, are jointly charged with causing the shooting death of Samuel, aged 37, on December 21.

After two years of investigations, police finally arrested both men on April 24, 2010.

Samuel died on Christmas day at the Intensive Care Unit at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH), after spending four days in a coma. He sustained three gunshots to his head around 1:15 am at Redemption Sharpes, while reversing his car into his yard.
