Herbert, a 38-year-old mechanic residing at Long Wall, Kingstown, appeared before Young at the Serious Offences Court on Monday September 27, 2010.

Herbert was charged with having in his possession 397 grams of cannabis, with intent to supply, on September 24, 2010, at Long Wall.

The dread locked man, appearing before the Chief Magistrate, pleaded guilty to the offence. Facts read by the court state that a team of narcotics officers went to where Herbert lives and executed a search. The drugs were found in a plastic transparent bowl and also in a yellow taped package in a bedroom in the upstairs of the house that was searched.

Young ordered Herbert to pay $500 of the fine forthwith and the remainder in one month to avoid six months in prison.

Herbert was represented by Lawyer Patricia Marks.
