Three months after Jason “P2” Henry and Rodney “2B” Roberts were acquitted for the triple murders of Reuben Small, 22, of Lowmans, Javon “John Wayne” Antoine, 20, of Layou and Ralson Omoro Bowens, 21 on August 9, 2007, another man has been arrested and charged.{{more}}

Anjay Charles, a 24-year-old labourer of Chauncey, was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison on Tuesday this week after appearing at the Serious Offences Court on the three murder charges.

The matter was adjourned to June 14 for hearing.

On November 4, 2009, at the High Court, a 12-member jury acquitted Henry, 25, and Roberts, 19, on each count.

During the case, presiding judge Justice Gertel Thom pointed out several inconsistencies in the prosecution’s evidence, especially in the testimony of the main witness.

Thom noted that they said in her statement that she saw who shot the men but the officer didn’t write it.(KW)
