Goodgie pleads guilty to possesion of counterfeit bills

Wilmoore Goodgie has received a six-month suspended sentence for having $900 of counterfeit currency.{{more}}

Goodgie, a resident of Chauncey, appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Monday, October 5, 2009, and pleaded guilty to having in his possession nine EC$100 counterfeit bills all bearing the serial number zb063079.

Facts read in court state that police officers found the bills, in a black plastic bag in a drawer in Goodgie’s home.

When cautioned by the police, Goodgie explained “Officer, a man buy a laptop from me and dem a wey he gim me.”

Goodgie was placed on remand and brought back to court on Tuesday, October 6, 2009. Chief Magistrate Sonya Young sentenced the twenty-seven-year-old to six months in prison, suspended for one year.
