Arthur Thompson of Chateaubelair and Keagan Michael of Spring Village pleaded not guilty to the charge when they appeared before Senior Magistrate Donald Browne.

Both men, employees with Ruddy’s Electrical Contracting Ltd., were released on station bail.

Police believe that Grenadian, Chris Samuel, who is also wanted in connection with the matter, has absconded. He, too, was an employee of the electrical contracting company.

It is alleged that on Monday, August 17, 2009, three men drove into the Gibson Corner neighbourhood in a truck bearing the logo of Ruddy’s Electrical Contracting Ltd and informed one resident that they were carrying out maintenance work on the lamps.

Five street lamps were removed from the area.

The matter was adjourned to November 30 for hearing. Lawyer Arthur Williams represents the duo.(KW)
