Officer Charged

The Police Constable who allegedly stabbed his girlfriend has been charged.

Ramon Grant of Queen’s Drive appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court last Friday, May 22, on two counts of damage to property and one count of wounding.{{more}} He pleaded not guilty to all the charges and was granted bail in the sum of $5,000.

Grant is charged with damaging one cellular phone and one St Vincent and the Grenadines passport, both belonging to Nicola Pierre on April 16, 2009. He was also charged with wounding Pierre on May 16.

It is alleged that Grant attacked Pierre after she refused to accompany him to an event.

He is expected to re-appear in court on July 21.
