16 with a gun

A sixteen-year-old boy was remanded in custody after he pleaded not guilty to having in his possession a .38 Smith and Wesson revolver.{{more}}

Kenroy Mc Barnette, a Georgetown resident, pleaded not guilty to the offence when he appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 19th May 2009. He was found with the gun by officers of the Rapid Response Unit while they were on patrol along the La Soufriere trail on Monday, 18 May 2009. The serial number of the gun is unknown.

Mc Barnette’s case was adjourned to Wednesday 27th May 2009. It was transferred to the Serious Offences Court.(OS)
