On Monday May 5, Harry, 31, a Fisherman of Barrouallie, pleaded guilty at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court to assaulting the 44-year-old with a cutlass on November 10, 2008 at Barrouallie.

Chief Magistrate Donald Browne however, reprimanded and discharged Harry for his actions.

The facts revealed in court stated that Harry and his friends were having a cookout on the beach when the complainant came close to where the open pot was, and deposited his stool. Harry then rushed at him with a cutlass and started planning him about the body.

Apparently left with an unpleasant taste in his mouth, Chief Magistrate Browne chided the 44-year-old man for his “nasty” action. “I certainly wouldn’t like for this to happen to me. It is provocation to the highest order,” said the highly annoyed Browne.(KW)
