Small, a resident of Dubois, was found to be in possession of 247 grams of marijuana, with intent to supply.

Although the 48-year old farmer pleaded guilty to the crime, she insisted she didn’t know the drugs were in her home.

As such, Chief Magistrate Sonya Young offered the defendant an opportunity to change her plea.

The mother of 5 declined and will now have a criminal record.

Police recovered 2 black plastic bags and 1 transparent plastic bag filled with the banned substance from a chair in the defendant’s living room last Saturday, 20 March, 2009. (SC)
