Three Grenadians deported

Three Grenadian Nationals were giving marching orders on Tuesday at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court to return to their country of origin.{{more}}

The trio, Shem Jones, Deran Grant and Roosevelt Suapp, pleaded guilty to unlawful entry into the state on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at Union Island. Senior Magistrate Donald Browne handed down a deportation order on the men.

The court heard that the youngsters entered Union Island on Saturday, January 24, 2009. They then arrived on mainland St Vincent on Saturday, January 31st, 2009, onboard the MV Barracuda. They journeyed to Chateaubelair where they were accosted by Rapid Response Unit officers.

Jones told the court that he was going to visit his uncle in Fitz Hughes and his friends were accompanying him.

Senior Magistrate Donald Browne told the men that St.Vincent and the Grenadines will not tolerate illegal citizens into the country. (VM)
