Three Lucians nabbed with 39,044 grams of cannabis

Three St Lucian nationals are expected to reappear at the Serious Offences Court today to answer drug possession charges.{{more}}

Albertius Fitz Plummer, Natieus Baptiste and Keidan Simon were arrested and charged for having 39,044 grams of cannabis (86 pounds) in their possession on October 26, 2008, at Fancy.

Baptiste pleaded guilty to the charge and is to be sentenced today. A decision is to be made by the Prosecution about whether the charge will be withdrawn from the other two defendants who pleaded not guilty.

Simon was also slapped with another charge of possession of 274 grams of cannabis. He pleaded guilty. Defendant Plummer pleaded guilty to possession of 445 grams of cannabis. Both men are to be sentenced today.
