The 46-year-old Redemption Sharpes resident appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Tuesday and was not allowed to plea to the indictable charge. She was charged with deceiving Adnan Mkhoul of Arnos Vale of US$63,000.

A reliable source told SEARCHLIGHT that Mkhoul and John jointly operated a business in Kingstown called “Traffic Variety Store.” That partnership apparently came to an end in August 2007.

Chief Magistrate Sonya Young granted John bail in the sum of $10,000 with one surety. The matter was adjourned to September 29 for Preliminary Inquiry.
