Brothers jointly charged with murder

Nearly two months after his brother Joel Hannaway was charged with the murder of Oran Mason, Carlson Hannaway, 21, was brought before the Serious Offences Court on Monday for jointly causing Mason’s death between July 4 and 5, 2006.{{more}}

The Barrouallie resident was not allowed to plea and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison until February 29, 2008, for a Preliminary Investigation into the matter.

Mason, 44 of Chateaubelair, was found on July 6, 2006, in a partly burnt shed with a gunshot wound in the Barrouallie Mountains. He was last seen on July 4th.

Hannaway’s brother Joel, 22, appeared at the Kingstown Magistrates Court on November 14, 2007, and was also remanded until February 29, 2008.(KW)
