‘Reveal names of drug lords’

Senior Magistrate at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court Donald Browne is pleading with persons caught with drugs to reveal the names of the persons who are using them to carry out their drug operations.{{more}}

The magistrate made his plea earlier this week as he addressed two women who were charged with cocaine possession.

“Why do you all allow yourselves to be used by these criminals especially ladies, I don’t know why? We must be able to catch these big Drug Lords,” stated the Magistrate.

Browne noted that a lot of people are getting involved in drugs in one way or the other. He also stated that when these persons are caught with the drugs that they are not “telling us who are the bigger persons running these drugs.“

Browne pointed out to the women some of the consequences of being involved in the drug trade. “If these drugs dealers employ you to do a job and they think that you are not doing it properly, they wouldn’t just take you out, but they will take out your entire family. Get yourself out of this!” ordered the Magistrate.

He also told the women that once they get involved in drugs, the next thing that they would get involved in is guns. (KW)
