Khanial DeRoche, 24, businessman of Sion Hill, Derrick Ryan, 28, a mason and Jahkim Poon, 25, a contractor of Trinidad were arrested and jointly charged with kidnapping Kenneth Rogers Morgan of Lowmans Leeward, on November 18, 2007 at Lowmans Leeward. The charges are indictable.

Bail was denied and the men were remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison until November 30 for a review of bail.

They were also charged with assault and damage to property. They pleaded not guilty.

Station Sergeant Nigel Butcher objected to the trio’s bail on the grounds that if the men were to be given bail, they would interfere with police work. He added that the matter was very serious and investigations are still ongoing into the matter. (KW)
