Andrews was charged with causing the death of 18-year-old Franko on Wednesday March 7th, 2007 at around 7:30am. He was not allowed to plea to the indictable charge.

The student was granted bail in the sum of $20,000 with two sureties. Franko died of a single gunshot wound to the head. Police reports at the time of his death indicated that Franko was showing another relative how to operate the 9mm pistol he had brought home the previous night. The gun, according to the reports, accidentally went off and he was shot in the head.

He is to re-appear in court in December for Preliminary Inquiry into the matter.(KW)
