Campden Park man charged for possession of cannabis

Herman Delpesche, a 41 year-old mason of Campden Park was fined $100 forthwith for possessing 38 grams of cannabis on March 20 in Campden Park.

While patrolling the area, police noticed the defendant walking along the public road. When he saw the police vehicle, he began running. Officers gave chase and apprehended him.{{more}}

The cannabis was found in a black plastic bag in his pants pocket. He was cautioned and replied, “This ah fo me smoke.”

Delpesche told Chief Magistrate Simone Churaman that he bought the cannabis when he was coming from work. “I been coming from wuk and ah stop off fo buy a $10 ting and when I come out de road de police ketch me,” explained Delpesche.
