Two men remanded on murder charge

Two young men were remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison on Monday after appearing at the Serious Offences Court on Monday to answer a murder charge.

As a result of intensive investigations, the Major Crime Unit was able to tag 22 year-old artist, Fitz-Allan “Wizzie” Bramble of Sion Hill and Alaski “Beaver” Samuel, 21, labourer of Redemption Sharpes for causing the death of Ishmael Byron, 23, of Campden Park between April 29 and May 5, 2006.{{more}}

A post mortem carried out on Byron’s body revealed he died of a single gunshot wound to his upper back.

According to police reports, Byron was last seen alive on April 29 and his lifeless body was found in some bushes in the York Mountains in Campden Park on May 5.

Bramble also has other charges pending before the courts including the robbery of Wendell Antrobus at Redemption Sharpes last year. Bramble is said to have robbed Antrobus of $3,454. He was also charged in connection with the shooting incident of Sudah Ashton at Knight’s Enterprises Ltd in Sion Hill.

A Preliminary Inquiry into the matter is slated for March 5, 2007.
