Bomb threat caller caught

Police have tracked down a cell phone caller who made a bomb threat to a Kingstown School on November 1 which caused mass panic.

Last Thursday, November 30, Akeem Sutherland, 17, a student of Edinboro was arrested and charged for making the bomb threat by cellular phone to the Kingstown Bishop College.{{more}}

He appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court the same day but was not required to plea as it was an indictable offence.

He was granted bail in the sum of $15,000.00 with one surety. Sutherland was placed under curfew between 7 pm – 6 am and ordered to report at the Central Police Station every Monday and Saturday between 8 am – 6 pm.

The matter is adjourned for hearing at the Serious Offences Court on December 20, 2006.
