‘You go in a man and come out like some body’s girlfriend’

Outgoing Acting Senior Magistrate, Donald Browne has made an echoing call for the youth of this nation to do something productive with their time and contribute to the development of the country. At the time, he was speaking to four young men who were all placed on a one-year bond for wounding charges.

Browne thoroughly scolded the four young men telling them to stay out of trouble.{{more}}

“I don’t like to send young boys to prison, that is not a place for you.”

Browne pointed out that prison is a place where young men lose their sense of identity and their grip on life.

“When you go around there, you go in a man and come out like some body’s girlfriend, do something positive with your time,” remarked Browne.

He reminded them that just like life, people do not wait on others.

“You think if you have girlfriends and you are in jail that they are going to wait on you? It does not work that way,” Browne ended.
