The tight space and cramped conditions of the Serious offences and Magistrate’s Court have been eased.

Both have more elbow room now that the Serious Crimes Court has been located upstairs the Co-operative League Center building at Lower Kingstown Park.{{more}}

Access to the Court is by a staircase at the side of the building.

The partition which separated the two courtrooms downstairs has been removed and more seats added making the Magistrate’s Court bigger.

The offices of the Magistrates and clerks have also been relocated upstairs.

The two courts were relocated to the Co-operative League Center after a fire on July 21, 2006 gutted the Lyric Building located at White Chapel in Kingstown, where they were previously located.
