A New law term begins with church service

Judges, barristers, and police officers all gathered at the Catholic Church last Monday morning for an Ecumenical service to officially kick of the start of the new law year 2006-2007.

The theme for the service “Justice must not only be affordable, but easily accessible” was also the focus of the sermon delivered by Rev. Janis Jack Watson who pointed out that justice in the world is not always accessible and affordable.{{more}}

She said that justice should be for all people and should not take sides but added that “even if the world fails to give justice, the Lord will

vindicate”.

Following the closing hymn, there was a procession of the law officers along Grenville Street to the High Court for a special sitting.
