Benjie, wife on ammo charge

Businessman and promoter Theophilus “Benjie” Cottle was released on $10,000 bail Monday.

Cottle was jointly charged with wife, Janice, for having 31 rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition.{{more}} When they appeared at the Serious Crimes Court both pled not guilty to the charge.

Reports state that a raid was conducted on September 10, 2006 at Cottle’s residence where the ammunition was found.

Both Theophilus and Janice were ordered to report to the Central Police Station on Mondays and Fridays between the hours of seven and 12 p.m. Lawyers, Ronald Marks and Samantha Robertson appear on behalf of the two accused. The case was adjourned until October 10, 2006.
