Nigerian visitor charged for Ganja

A Nigerian national, Guyanese citizen Caesar Carlos Chukwuemeka, was arrested here for marijuana possession last week.
The Narcotics Division arrested Chukwuemeka at a guest house in Villa last Wednesday and charged him with possessing twenty grammes of marijuana with intent to supply.{{more}}
According to reports, officers from the Narcotics Division went to the guest house to execute a search warrant at Chukwuemeka’s apartment early Wednesday morning. During their search they were only able to get the drug which he had for smoking.
The Nigerian national, who lived in Guyana, was taken before the Kingstown Magistrate Court. He pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $150 to be paid forthwith, with an alternative sentence of six weeks in prison.
According to information received, Chukwuemeka paid the fine.
He was deported following an order by the Magistrates court.
