Suspended driver jailed

Bentley Laidlow Johnson, a thirty-year old entertainer of Arnos Vale, has been imprisoned for breaching a court order and other offences.
Appearing before the No.1 Kingstown Magistrate Court, Johnson pleaded guilty to charges of driving motor vehicle T6963 while having been disqualified from driving, driving an unlicensed motor vehicle and driving a motor vehicle without insurance. {{more}} He pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to three months on each charge. The sentences, however, are to run concurrently.
Johnson had been suspended from driving on July 14 but was caught Sunday, July 18 driving at Mesopotamia.
Station sergeant Calvin Glasgow of the Traffic Department said he was driving along the Mesopotamia public road around 10.48 a.m. that day when he spotted Johnson driving the motor vehicle.
