Caribbean Education Council shocked

The Caribbean Education Council Incorporated (CECI) was saddened and shocked by the death of its former secretary, the late Patrice Bascombe on Thursday, September 7, 2006. They received the news of her death via the airwaves.

She was a member of the Council from September 2002 to the time of her death.{{more}}

Between 2002 and 2004, Ms Bascombe served the Council as Secretary to the CECI/SVG Board of Directors. She was devoted, dedicated and committed to the Council. Hence, Ms Bascombe was indeed a true patriot and a daughter of the soil. Generally, Ms Bascombe was also talented, friendly, hardworking, and well known young lady locally, regionally and internationally for her gifted talents.

The Caribbean Education Council Incorporated (SVG) Limited Scholarship Foundation, will be renamed in honour of the late Ms Patrice Bascombe for her service and dedication to the Council over the past four years. This is when the Council holds its local Board of Directors meeting on Friday September 15, 2006.

The Council takes the opportunity in extending condolences to her family and friends.

She has gone but not forgotten. Her spirit will still live on in those persons, whose lives she touches and came into contact with.

May she rest in peace.
