Allure – new beauty attraction for women

Ever since they were school mates at the St. Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua, Ansonia Timothy, Gailene Peters and Sezzie Goodluck dreamed of owning a business together.

After many years of hard work, their dream became a reality on June 13, 2005, when the doors of Allure opened to the general public.{{more}}

According to the Manager Ansonia Timothy, they cater to the beauty-conscious woman, so they were looking for a name “that would signify beauty and glamour,” hence the name “Allure”.

She added, “women today want to look beautiful, so we thought this was a good idea. Today’s women are into accessories and makeup.”

And Allure offers that and more. The beauty supplies shop carries hair accessories, body accessories and cosmetics. They are well stocked with braids, hair pieces and extensions. Their body accessory collection includes earrings, necklaces, tattoos, and design nails. You can also find a wide array of facial crèmes and makeup.

Manager Timothy, a 28-year-old resident of Murray Village, says that they plan to expand the products and services they offer in the near future. In another few weeks, they are expecting more facial and hair aftercare products including Kiss, Fashion Fair and Cliniqué brands. There are also plans to offer make-up application as a service.

You should be in good hands as Ansonia has seven years of experience in the beauty business, having previously worked as a hair-stylist and at another beauty products outlet.

Allure is located on the first floor of the Marcole Plaza(upstairs) and is open Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
