Effect of pacifiers on baby teeth

Persistent and long- term sucking, especially after permanent teeth begin to come (around the age of six), can cause the following:{{more}}

– Roof of mouth too narrowed

– Mal alignment of upper and lower jaw

– Upper front teeth to slant out

– Lower teeth tilt in

Advantages of Pacifiers

– Pacifiers help to calm your baby

– Pacifiers offer temporary distraction. If your baby is hungry, a pacifier may comfort the baby for few minutes. Pacifiers also help to distract the baby during blood tests and other procedures.

– Pacifiers help to soothe a fussy baby

– Pacifiers can be disposed of easily

When the time comes to stop using a pacifier, you can throw it away.
