Remember needy in a tangible way this Christmas

by HIS EXCELLENCY SIR FREDERICK N. BALLANTYNE, G.C.M.G., MD

GOVERNOR-GENERAL OF ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES

My fellow Vincentians, as you are all aware we have just concluded a hotly contested General Elections. now that the process is over we can fully turn our attention to CHRISTMAS as we celebrate the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ, an event which remains the most significant in civilization as we know it.

As a nation we subscribe fully to the teachings of Jesus which emphasize Peace, Love, Tolerance and Forgiveness.{{more}}

Now more than ever we need to reaffirm our commitment to these noble ideals and see them as essential in our quest to move our nation forward.

We need to rededicate ourselves to improving the lives of those most needing in our society and remember them not only in our prayers but in many tangible ways this Christmas.

My family and I take this opportunity to wish a Merry Christmas to all and pray that God will continue to look over our beloved country and guide us to a happy and prosperous New Year.
