Isha Akilah Frederick, daughter of Denise Frederick, of Penniston graduated from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, with first class honours in Literatures in English (spec). She was also awarded the Level Three prize for Literatures in English from the Department of Language, Linguistics and Literatures at UWI, Cave Hill. A past student of the Dubois Government School, Girls’ High School and St. Vincent Community College, she thanks God for her success. Special thanks to Mrs. Sherlon Altidor and Miss Marcia Homer for their unwavering support and encouragement. This first degree is dedicated to “My mother Denise, my grandmother Caroline, my sister Lucille and my niece Ria.”
