Congratulations

Congratulations to Victor Job, the lone student of the St. Vincent Grammar School, and the only male in SVG to obtain passes in eleven subjects at the General Proficiency Level at the recent CXC examinations. Victor, who is the only student to obtain a distinction in Music, also received a distinction in Mathematics, and other Grade 1 passes in English A, Physics and Spanish; Grade 2’s in Chemistry, Biology, French and Information Technology, and Grade 3’s in Geography and English B. The talented musician, who plays the piano, clarinet and saxophone, and who was recently awarded the Hedy King Prize for excellence in Music Theory from the Royal School of Music, UK, hopes to pursue a career in civil engineering. Victor attributes his recent success in music to Mr. Patrick Prescod, his Music instructor and mentor.

Victor is the son of the Rev. Victor Job, Methodist Minister, and Mrs. Methalyn Job, counsellor at the Barrouallie Secondary School; and brother to Trisha-Ann and Vickilyn, who, together with his other relatives and friends, are all proud of his achievements.
