A 13th person tests positive for COVID-19 in SVG

St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) has recorded its 13th positive result for COVID-19, 12 days after the last confirmed case here.

The National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) in a release issued today, April 21 said the new positive case remains under investigation.

The country also recorded six more negative COVID-19 results today, including one which provides medical clearance for someone who had previously tested positive.

This brings to three, the number of recovered COVID-19 cases in SVG.

With these new results, there are now 10 active COVID-19 cases in the country.

“This new case of COVID-19 serves as a reminder about the importance of maintaining the public health measures currently in place, which include hand hygiene, cough etiquette, physical distancing of at least 3-6 ft in public spaces, and strict adherence to quarantine and isolation. These measures are vital, if we are to continue to slow the spread of COVID-19 in St Vincent and the Grenadines,” the release from NEMO said.
