When properly applied, powders will impart a natural, translucent sheen to the face. It is best that women with black skin use only translucent powders when applying foundation. You don’t need to use a lot of powder to set your foundation.

A “caking” effect is not attractive, and it emphasizes any lines you have under your eyes, around the nose and mouth, and even the cleft of the chin.

Think of putting a shear vest over your face; that is the amount of powder to apply. The ideal is to use powder to set the foundation and to allow the skin and colour foundation to glow.
