Registration continuing for Spanish and Venezuelan culture classes

The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela through the Venezuelan Institute for Culture and Cooperation & Hugo Chávez Frías in St Vincent and the Grenadines is continuing registration for Vincentians who wish to study Spanish and Venezuelan culture.

Registration, which opened on April,9, 2025 is due to close on April 21, 2025, for classes that run from April, 22 to July 10, 2025, a release from the Embassy states. Classes are offered free of cost.

“During this time the Vincentian students will learn the Spanish language which will be part of their personal and professional growth as it is one of the most spoken languages in the world; the knowledge of this language in turn, will help to have better job opportunities, academic

and will promote the knowledge and enjoyment of other cultures,” the release adds.

Classes are open to first time learners , as well as those who want to advance to a higher level of proficiency.

Level 1 (Beginners) classes will be in two groups, held face to face from 6:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m, Mondays and Wednesdays; and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m at the Sutherland’s Building, Kingstown. Each group will comprise 25 persons.

Level 2,will be a single group of 25 learners whose classes will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 p.m to 6:00 p.m. There also will be a single group of 25 persons in Level 3 who will attend classes Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m to 6:00 p.m. also at the Sutherland’s Building, Kingstown.

Level 4 will comprise a single group of 25 persons who will meet in a hybrid format- face, and online- from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m Mondays and Wednesdays.

The Embassy states further in its release that, “Despite the current economic and financial war that Venezuela is going through due to the continuous sanctions by the U.S. government, the Bolivarian Government of

Venezuela led by President Nicolas Maduro continues to work towards ‘Diplomacy of People’ and strengthening Venezuelan and Caribbean culture and traditions…”.
