World Pediatrics wraps up Cardiology clinic in SVG

World Pediatrics hosted their diagnostic Cardiology clinic at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for two days on April 3 and 4, 2025.

The two-man team was led by Pediatric Cardiologist, Dr. William Moskowitz who has been coming to St. Vincent for many years to evaluate our Vincentian children with varying heart conditions. He was joined by Pediatric Cardiology Fellow Dr. Adarsh Kulkarni with local assistance from Dr. Joy Walters, Dr. Shari-ann Davis-Andrews and some MCMH staff nurses. During the two-day period, 62 Vincentian children were assessed.

This team placed their focus on assessing and diagnosing a range of heart conditions in children like congenital heart defects and heart murmurs through echocardiogram and physical examinations. Upon assessment, proper treatment plans were advised, and some children were recommended to follow up with the team to monitor development. Some children who had been a part of this cardiology clinic were discharged due to steady improvements in their heart conditions. This team has been committed to improving the long-term heart health of the youth of SVG.
