SimplyHelp Foundation donates over US$66,000 in supplies to SVG

Taiwan’s Ambassador to St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), Fiona Huei-Chun Fan, handed over a quantity of supplies to St Vincent and the Grenadines on behalf of the SimplyHelp Foundation, a non-profit charity organization located in Los Angeles, California, USA, founded by Taiwanese-American businesswoman, Tina Bow. The supplies, in a 40-foot container worth in excess of US$66,000, included such items as shoes, toys, sports equipment, nutrition supplements,and wheelchairs among others. The donation, handed over on February 27, 2025, was received by Minister of National Mobilisation and Social Development, Keisal Peters, at the West St. George Secondary School . It was witnessed by Minister of Education, Curtis King, a release from the Embassy of Taiwan states.

Officers from Ministry of Education, more than 150 teachers and students, and people affected by Hurricane Beryl were invited to witness the hand over, and roughly 200 persons were present. At the ceremony, Ambassador Fan gave special thanks to the SimplyHelp Foundation.

She also noted that Taiwan and SVG enjoy 44 years of profound friendship and robust collaboration across various fields including health, education, and agriculture.

The Foundation hopes to help communities in SVG get through the challenges and recover from the passage of Hurricane Beryl which devastated areas of SVG, particularly the Southern Grenadines, the Taiwan diplomat said.

Minister Peters expressed appreciation for the generosity of the SimplyHelp Foundation and pointed out that no sectors have not been touched by Taiwan. She further reaffirmed the fruitful achievements and lasting partnership between Taiwan and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
