Association of Evangelical Churches to host Expository Preaching Seminar
The Association of Evangelical Churches (AEC) of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has said it will host an intensive four-day seminar on expository preaching that opens on February 19, 2025 at the Kingstown Baptist Church.
In a release the AEC said the seminar will feature distinguished experts in the field of ministry and theological education. The key presenters will be Dr David Olford, renowned scholar, author, and former professor of expository preaching at Union University, and Dr Bartholomew Orr, experienced pastor, author, and known for his innovative and impactful ministry leadership.
The seminar is designed to equip pastors, ministers, and lay leaders with the tools and techniques needed to craft and deliver compelling, biblically-based sermons, the organisers said.
Participants will delve into: Biblical and theological foundations for expository preaching; practical skills for crafting compelling and engaging sermons ; effective communication and audience engagement strategies; and opportunities for personal growth and spiritual renewal.
Rev. Al Blake, President of the Association of Evangelical Churches SVG, is quoted in the release as stating, “We are thrilled to offer this invaluable training opportunity. Expository preaching is essential for the effective communication of God’s Word, and we believe this seminar will significantly enhance the preaching ministry within our churches”.
The seminar , which ends on February 22, is being preceded by an opening session at 6:30 p.m on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Kingstown Baptist Church.
