SVG named Best Nature Destination by World Tourism Awards

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority (SVGTA) said it is thrilled to announce that “our stunning islands” have been awarded the prestigious title of “Best Nature Destination” at the 2024 World Tourism Awards. Travel + Leisure. It also recently highlighted St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), as a must-visit eco-tourism destination, also affirming this recognition.

The accolade from the World Tourism Awards celebrates the unique natural beauty, biodiversity, and sustainable tourism practices of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the SVG Tourism Authority said in a release.

“ Our islands, known for their lush rainforests, pristine beaches, marine sanctuaries, and thriving wildlife, continue to captivate visitors from around the globe. This recognition solidifies our position as a premier destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers.”

Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development & Culture Carlos James, expressed his enthusiasm for this achievement, saying: “This award is a testament to the unparalleled natural assets of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. We have long been committed to preserving our environment while sharing its beauty with the world. This recognition is the latest in a series of accolades highlighting the exceptional experiences in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Authority also noted in its release.
