SVG to host Kids Athletics Instructors Course

Considered a leader in the development of the Kids Athletics Programme, Team Athletics SVG will host a regional Instructors Course from August 18 to 20, 2024.

Set to commence on Sunday, August 18 with a brief opening ceremony at Olympic House, Villa Point, and practical sessions at the Arnos Vale Playing Field, the course has attracted participation from Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, St Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago, as well as host St Vincent and the Grenadines.

In total, 15 participants will go through their paces under the tutelage of the Vincentian duo of Kellisha Ashton- Yorke and Chester Morgan.

Ashton -Yorke is the local coordinator of the St Vincent and the Grenadines’ Kids Athletics Programme, while Morgan is the Technical Director of Team Athletics SVG.

Following the course, representatives are required to instruct others on the methodologies in their respective locales.
