Agriculture students to engage in Micro Business Simulation Game Workshop
STUDENTS PURSUING agriculture studies at the Division of Technical and Vocational Education, of the SVG Community College, will be getting some experience in starting and operating a small business at a one week Micro Business Simulation Game (MBG) workshop next month.
The Centre for Enterprise Development Inc. (CED), in collaboration with the Caribbean Agricultural Productivity Improvement Activity (CAPA) and the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), will conduct the MBG workshop from August 12-16 as part of its Youth Business and Entrepreneurship Programme (YOUBET). The MBG is a highly interactive training activity for micro-entrepreneurs and others that focuses on how the success and sustainability of start-ups and small businesses can be improved in a practical manner. The overall objective of the MBG is to experience how to manage a microbusiness effectively, using an experience-based approach.
Twenty-five agriculture students from the SVGCC will be accepted in the training.
The students who will participate in the simulation workshop will learn the crucial principles of managing a business and how to deal with possible challenges and opportunities. The workshop will take place at the Methodist Church Hall, Kingstown, from 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. daily. Interested persons can register at https://bit.ly/3WdVUX6.
