Police stage annual National crime prevention week and exhibition
The Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), opened its annual Crime Prevention Week and Exhibition yesterday June 24, 2024.
A release from the RSVGPF said activities to mark the week will end on June 28, and are being held this year under the theme: “Building Resilient Communities Through Crime Prevention”.
The activities are designed to actively engage the general public, raise awareness and promote collaborative efforts in crime prevention, and will include a whistle stop on June 26, which will showcase practical crime prevention strategies and essential safety advice. The police say this event is an excellent opportunity for the public to learn valuable tips and techniques to enhance personal and public safety.
A crime prevention exhibition on Friday, June 28 along the side walk of the Central Police Station beginning at 9:00 a.m, is another of the highlights. The exhibition will feature a variety of crime prevention brochures, cameras, and other security apparatus, presented by the police and members of the business community. The general public is invited to attend these activities.
