Church treats Park Hill community to New Year’s Day Gospel concert

Villagers of Park Hill and surrounding areas started the New Year on an uplifting footing when they were treated to a gospel concert on Monday, January 1, 2024.

The concert, which began in the evening, was held outside the Park Hill Community Center and featured gospel performances in song and dance.

The featured guest artiste for the event was singing Evangelists Shirley Browne, who delivered a powerful ministry in song.

A brief sermon was done by Pastor Adolphus Richards of the El Bethel Pentecostal Church at Park Hill.

In his exhortation, Pastor Richards encouraged the audience to trust God for everything.

He further admonished that for this New Year, 2024, “in all you do, consider your ways.”

He said “in these times that we are living in, we need direction and we also need protection.”

These and all the other things needed for our survival, can only come from God, Pastor Richards stressed.

“God will never fail us; sometimes we put our trust in so many things that will fail us, and when they fail us, we become disappointed.

“God will never disappoint us, once you put your confidence in the God of Heaven, he will come through for you,” Pastor Richards encouraged.

Monday’s concert is an annual event, organized by the Men’s Ministry of the El Bethel Church; the ministry is headed by Bro Leonard Mc Dowall.

During the concert, solidarity greetings were delivered by representatives from other nearby churches.
