Problem Child donates sign to Central Police Station
The Central Police Station will be given a facelift of sorts, compliments a sign donated by cultural ambassador Shertz ‘Problem Child’ James.
On Monday, October 30, at the Central Police Station, Problem Child’s sister Jamila James handed over the sign to Commissioner of Police Enville Williams on behalf of Problem Child who resides in the USA. She said that her brother was very happy to be allowed to donate the sign, and he wanted the sign to be donated for Independence.
Police Commissioner Enville Williams expressed thanks for the donation pointing out “It might seem small but it is things like these that go a long way to help to reach the youths in a positive way. Mr James through his music and his lifestyle have always been a role model to our young people. That is what we want entertainers and others in our society to do; to be positive role models to influence change in our society.”
Williams again thanked James for the donation and appealed to “other persons not just to give but to show leadership to our young people so that they can be led away from a life of crime and violence.”
In attendance were Deputy Commissioner of Police, Frankie Joseph; Assistant Commissioners of Police Christopher Benjamin, Leonard Fergus, and Trevor Bailey; Officer in charge of Central Division, Superintendent Kamecia Blake; and Head of the Public Relations and Complaints Department, Superintendent Junior Simmons.
