Surgeon launches medical text at Richmond Gabriel University in SVG
The administration, faculty and students of Richmond Gabriel University St. Vincent and the Grenadines were invited to the launch of the second edition of the Thieme Dissector textbook, co-authored by their Provost and Dean of Academic Affairs, Professor and Department Chair of Anatomical Sciences, Dr. Sanjoy Sanyal, MBBS, MS (Surgery), MSc (Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh), ADPHA.
A release from the University said Thieme Dissector, Second Edition is a richly illustrated and detailed three-volume manual for guiding students and teachers in the dissection lab. It is enriched with intricate illustrations of the human anatomy created from the clinician’s perspective.
Many of the images included in the book, as well as the QR code linked web videos, were created in the Anatomy Lab at the Belair Campus.
During the launch Dr. Sanyal credited a few of his students who participated during the process of creating the material for the books. He also donated copies of the books to the University.
The Administration and Faculty of Richmond Gabriel University St. Vincent and the Grenadines have extended congratulations to Dr. Sanjoy Sanyal.
