Unvaccinated arrivals to St Vincent and the Grenadines no longer required to quarantine
Beginning today, August 25, unvaccinated travellers who arrive in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) will no longer be required to quarantine in an approved facility once they test negative for COVID-19.
This is according to the revised protocol for the entry of unvaccinated travellers to the country, prepared by the Health Services Sub-Committee of the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO).
The protocol, which was revised on August 18, 2022 said unvaccinated travellers will no longer be required to complete the Pre-Arrival Form at health.gov.vc, but must arrive with a negative SARS-CoV-2 COVID-19 test result.
The result may be from a COVID-19 RT-PCR test done no more than 72 hours (or three days) before arrival, or from a SARS-CoV-2 antigen test done 24 hours before arrival.
Unvaccinated arrivals may be retested for COVID-19 on arrival in SVG.
Unvaccinated arrivals will not be required to quarantine in a Tourism Authority / Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment (MOHWE) approved facility once the arrival COVID-19 test is negative. If the arrival COVID-19 test is positive, the traveler will isolate in a Tourism Authority / MOHWE approved Transition / Quarantine Hotel at their cost.
A reservation for a Tourism Authority / MOHWE approved Transition / Quarantine Hotel is therefore no longer required for travel to SVG.
Fully vaccinated travellers to SVG do not need to arrive with a SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) test. However, they may be tested for COVID-19 on arrival in SVG as determined by the Port Health Officer.
Fully vaccinated travellers will not be required to quarantine in an approved facility.
To be discharged from isolation, the unvaccinated traveler must test negative for COVID-19 and must have no signs or symptoms of COVID-19.
Persons under the age of 18 years are considered minors and will follow the protocol applied to their parent or guardian. When travelling alone, minors will quarantine with a guardian in a private residence for the period as determined by their country of origin and their vaccination status.
