Ministry of Transport to be temporarily relocated
Members of staff at the Kingstown office of the Ministry of Transport and Works will soon be relocated to new offices.
Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Transport, Montgomery Daniel said on NBC Radio on Wednesday, April 20, that in about two weeks staff will be relocated to a building at the Arnos Vale Playing Field.
This is to enable the building which the ministry now occupies to undergo repairs.
“The roof is indeed terrible,” Minister Daniel remarked.
There are also other areas in the building that need to be repaired.
The minister said in excess of $800,000 was budgeted for repair works to the ministry’s building.
The work will be undertaken by the Roads, Building and General Services Authority( BRAGSA) and is expected to last between eight to nine months.
