THE NATIONAL Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC) will be visiting the North Windward communities of Owia and Point this week to register persons for subsidised Internet, and Internet for tablets programmes.

In a release, the NTRC said the registration visit will be made on Thursday November 11, 2021 between 3:00p.m and 5:00p.m. All interested persons can visit the Point Community Centre from 3:00p.m-4:00p.m, and Owia Government School from 4:00p.m-5:00p.m to be registered. All applicants must walk along with one piece of valid picture identification. For those persons interested in signing up for the Internet for tablets program, you must walk along with the tablet device so you can be connected on the spot.

The NTRC said it would like to remind the public that these programs have been put together to assist students who do not have Internet access at home, given this period of online schooling and distance learning.
