SVG Toastmasters welcome new Area Director

THE TOASTMASTERS clubs in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) have welcomed Dominican, Cecilia Christmas as Area 16 Director within District 81, where her tenure runs from July1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. She holds designations of Level 5 award in Leadership Development and Level 2 award in Innovative Planning.

According to a release from Toastmasters, Christmas will preside over the operations of five clubs in SVG: Achievers Toastmasters Club, Creative Thinkers Toastmasters Club, Diplomatic Toastmasters Club, Flow Toastmasters Club and Imperial Champions Toastmasters Club.

Toastmaster Cecilia is a youth empowerment officer, an andragogy educator by profession as well as an entrepreneur. She has been an active Toastmaster since 2018, serving in several executive positions, including the most recent position of president of the Nature Isle Toastmasters Club.

In accordance with Toastmasters requirements, Christmas will be responsible for providing support to members’ overall development of communication and leadership skills. During her tenure, she hopes to achieve club growth, enhanced program quality and President Distinguished Status for the Area.

The Area Council will include the President, Vice President Education,and Vice President Membership of each club. The presidents are Kezron Walters of the Achievers Toastmasters Club; Michele Morthely of the Creative Thinkers Toastmasters Club; Dazilon Arthur of the FLOW Toastmasters Club and Jacqueline English-Jacobs of the Imperial Champions Toastmasters Club. Other Council members include Francesca Burnham-Onu, Reynold Baptiste, Sharlene Alleyne-Hector, Andrea James, Jenieve Cato, Adinga Findlay, Tera Samuel, and Anella Samuel.
