Two new Covid-19 cases detected on exit screening
Two new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from 209 samples processed on Tuesday May 11, 2021, resulting in a positivity rate of 0.96 per cent, a release from the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) said.
“Both new cases were detected on exit screening,” the release said.
“Sixteen new recoveries were noted over the reporting period. One hundred and fifty-two cases are currently active and 12 persons with COVID-19 have died. One thousand, nine hundred and twenty-eight cases of COVID-19 and 1764 recoveries have been recorded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines since March 2020,” the release said.
The public is urged to continue to use masks, sanitize, physically distance and get vaccinated to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
