One new Covid-19 case recorded in SVG

St Vincent and the Grenadines on Thursday, April 1 recorded one new positive case from 364 samples received and tested on April 1, 2021,  resulting in a positivity rate of 0.3%, a release from the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) said.  

“No new recoveries were reported, leaving the number of total recoveries at sixteen hundred and fourteen (1614). One hundred and thirty-one (131) cases are active and  ten (10) persons with COVID-19 have died. One thousand, seven hundred and fifty five (1755) cases of COVID-19 have been reported in St. Vincent and the  Grenadines since March 2020,” the release said. 

The public is urged to continue to use masks, sanitize, physically distance and get  vaccinated to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
